Whether it's through education, conversation, or experience, we believe in bettering ourselves and the world around us.
The MSBC Foundation is the charitable arm of the organization, created to empower MSBC's network to support philanthropic causes selected by the team. The Foundation acts as a platform to highlight the causes we care about and the communities we engage with throughout the year. By connecting current members, alumni, partners, and supporters around shared efforts to give back, the Foundation strengthens MSBC’s commitment to make an impact beyond the conference itself.
Funds are distributed through partnerships, events, and programs that align with The Foundation’s mission.

As a team, it is necessary that we live up to the values we were founded on, and that involves much more than putting on a conference each fall.
We believe in giving back to the sports community by helping create equitable opportunities and making meaningful contributions that reflect our values year-round.
Through our partnership with Special Olympics, MSBC members work directly with athletes through inclusive practices and events that promote teamwork, confidence, and connection. Over the past two years, we’ve participated in the annual Big House Games, supporting special needs athletes. More than volunteering, it’s about building relationships and celebrating achievements together as a community.
We are proud to highlight our ongoing partnership with Give Merit’s FATE program, which began in 2023. Rooted in principles of academic enrichment, career development, mentorship, and cultural awareness, FATE prepares Detroit high school students for success in higher education and beyond.
We are proud to highlight our ongoing partnership with Detroit’s Downtown Boxing Gym (DBG), a nationally recognized out-of-school time program that empowers students through academic support, mentorship, and community engagement.

Over the past two years, we’ve participated in the annual Big House Games, supporting special needs athletes. More than volunteering, it’s about building relationships and celebrating achievements together as a community. This year, our team had the privilege of helping lead the games alongside student organizers, supporting athlete engagement throughout the day. Our involvement reflects a shared commitment to community, accessibility, and the unifying power of sport. We’re excited to continue building this partnership and encourage our supporters to join us in celebrating and advancing the mission of Special Olympics. Visit their website to learn more.
