ANN ARBOR (September 12, 2014) – The Michigan Sport Business Conference Planning Committee has been busy preparing for the 2014 conference on Friday, October 24. The MSBC will be providing weekly recaps of what has happened throughout the week up until the date of the conference. Here is a recap of the major announcements from this week:

The MSBC announced the first panel for the conference and released the speakers on the panel throughout the week. The list of speakers that will be included on The Economic Reforming of the NCAA feature:

  • Jim Delany, Commissioner of the Big Ten Conference
  • Ben Sutton, Chairman & President of IMG College
  • Burke Magnus, Senior VP of Programming & Acquisitions at ESPN
  • Mark Silverman, President of the Big Ten Network
  • Julie Kimmons, Director of Championship Alliances & Broadcast Services at the NCAA

Milwaukee Tool was announced as “The Official Networking Sponsor” of the MSBC for the second consecutive year. Milwaukee Tool now has its own page on the MSBC website for students to submit their resume and RSVP for the Networking Bootcamp. Students interested in registering for the bootcamp can upload their resume to the Milwaukee Tool page.

Registration is now open to Michigan Undergraduates, Outreach Students, Michigan Alumni, and Industry Professionals for the MSBC 2014. To register for the conference go to the Registration page.
