From the Tech Showcase, presented by Phoenix Sport Partners, and MSBC Sports Startup Competition, presented by Grow Blue Capital, to the dynamic partnerships and all-star speaker lineup, this year’s conference was one to remember.

Let’s take a look back at the MSBC through content shared on Twitter from the event…

Thursday Night Dinner

Our 2018 conference started at our annual Thursday Night Dinner, presented by ROSSETTI, for speakers and industry professionals at the Jack Roth Stadium Club in Michigan Stadium.

We started our conference at 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

Dhani Jones returned the MSBC to serve as the conference host for the third consecutive year.

We unveiled a trio of Snapchat geofilters for the conference.

The conference began with a video made by The Vault, a proud sponsor of the MSBC.

The morning keynote featured Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, and Jeff Wilpon, COO of the New York Mets & Owner of the New York Excelsior.

Attendees then split up into four breakout sessions, each covering a different topic within the sport business industry.

Conference attendees then watched our Intersection of Sport, Business & Culture panel.

The winners of the second annual MSBC Sports Startup Competition, presented by Grow Blue Capital, had the opportunity to present their company to a group of investors on the conference stage.

During lunch, student attendees had the opportunity to attend our Managing Your Career in Sport Business panel.

Pledge It, a proud sponsor of the MSBC, announced a fundraiser for Barwis Methods’ First Step Foundation.

Conference attendees then attended our Evolving Business Models of Sport Media panel.

Students from across the country were honored with trophies after winning the BIG Initiative Award.

Our afternoon keynote featured DeMaurice Smith, Executive Director of the NFL Players Association.

The MSBC student planning team thanks those who supported this year’s event. Stay connected by following the MSBC’s official accounts on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
