2017 – The Spew
The Spew is a five-minute show, streamed exclusively on Facebook Live, that airs on Sundays at 5 p.m. The show covers various topics relating to sports, entertainment and the University of Michigan, with 80% of its viewers being in the 18-24 year-old demographic. At the time of the 2017 MSBC, The Spew was averaging nearly 8,000 views per episode. One of the main goals of the show is to bring the Michigan community and network together. The team behind The Spew hopes to not only make sports universal to everyone but also build a bridge between students and student-athletes across campus. After winning the first-ever MSBC Sports Startup Competition, The Spew plans to continue to expand and develop its sales portfolio, eventually using the same platform they have developed to roll out across the country at other schools with major football programs..
