Director of Business Intelligence

Overview:

He/she will effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and teams as well as external partners to identify and implement reporting solutions that support business needs and create operational efficiencies by providing needed information and regularly analyzing information to identify trends and opportunities that can be exploited to benefit the organizations, with a specific focus on ticket sales development.

 

Essential Duties

  • Identify and track key business metrics in the areas of ticket sales, marketing partnerships, media placement, and more
  • Utilize demographic and psychographic data platforms to provide data driven support of key initiatives for sponsors and Marketing Partnerships team
  • Acquire, maintain and utilize business data appends to deliver insights on current and potential business opportunities
  • Provide analytics support for key digital metrics related to web site and mobile app performance
  • Exploratory analysis of new data sources to assess data quality and relevancy in business decision making
  • Design and structure relational databases for optimal use as necessary
  • Creating custom reports as necessary

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Strength in Microsoft Excel and data mining
  • Experience using an advanced visualization tool (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau) a plus
  • Ability to work with large data sets
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information and present findings
  • Ability and willingness to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Strong presentation skills and particular expertise in designing effective charts, graphs, and tables
  • Familiarity with digital and web analytics metrics and platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe, etc) a plus
  • Effectively manage multiple project timelines simultaneously
  • Understanding of relational data sources

Inside Sales Rep

Overview:

A successful sales representative is a master of the full menu of team ticket sales products and maximizes tickets sales through pipeline management, cold-calling, client development, customer service, and ownership of market verticals and initiatives.

Individual Sales Contributor Duties

  • Make phone calls during the season and off-season to ensure personalized continual contact to recruit new business and develop/retain existing business.
  • Sell ticket sales packages with the focus on hitting and surpassing annual sales goal.
  • Develop and execute specific ticket sales initiatives.
  • Set up group areas as needed for customers.
  • Contribute as needed in operational and gameday areas.
  • Assist box office in ticket operations execution as needed.
  • Report to the Director of Ticket Sales with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Perform managerial responsibilities within the sales department, including regular supervision and training of others
  • Customarily maintain personal and team-wide sales records
  • Analyze target market and create plans for engagement
