The Michigan Sport Business Conference has announced the return of its networking session, continuing the innovative experience introduced last year. This year’s networking sessions are presented by the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology.
For an hour during the afternoon portion of the MSBC, the colloquium within the Stephen M. Ross School of Business will serve as a networking space, where industry executives will be stationed for the duration of the session. When student attendees bought tickets, they were asked to mark their preferred categories among a series of areas within the sport business industry. From there, the MSBC team assigned each student attendee to one 15-minute slot, during which an executive will host a roundtable discussion with six students. Student attendees will find out which networking session they are in when they receive their credential upon arriving at the MSBC on Friday, Oct. 19.
During the discussions, student attendees may ask questions about industry trends, current events, the industry executive’s career path and more. After 15 minutes are up, student attendees will vacate the colloquium and a new group will come in. Once a student’s 15-minute session has ended, he or she is encouraged to engage with our partner booths and Tech Showcase, presented by Phoenix Sports Partners, in the Winter Garden.
