Take a look back at the MSBC through content shared on Twitter from the event…

For the first time, the MSBC and the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality joined forces to lead a diversity conversation as a lead-in to the conference.

Our 2017 conference started at our Thursday Night Dinner, presented by ROSSETTI, for speakers and industry professionals at the Junge Family Champions Center located between Michigan Stadium and Crisler Center.

The evening included a featured conversation between John Beilein, Michigan men’s basketball head coach, and student-athlete Duncan Robinson.

We officially started our conference at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, but not before registration, time to network with industry professionals and an opportunity to experience the MSBC’s first-ever Tech Showcase.

Dhani Jones returned to his alma mater to serve as the conference emcee for the second consecutive year.

Prior to the conference, we unveiled a new mobile app ‘MSBC 2017’ for use during the event.

We also unveiled a pair of Snapchat Geofilters for the conference in addition to a special Snapchat story for the event.

The conference began with Sandy Montag, President & CEO of The Montag Group, showing the audience a sizzle reel of the upcoming Amazon series on the Michigan football team.

The morning keynote conversation featured Steve Greenberg, Managing Partner of Allen & Company, and Arn Tellem, Vice Chairman of Palace Sports & Entertainment.

Attendees then split up into four breakout sessions, each covering a different topic within the sport business industry.

The winners of the first-ever MSBC Sports Startup Competition had the opportunity to present their company to a group of investors on the conference stage.

Conference attendees watched a panel called “Venture Capital in Sport: An All Out Blitz.”

Attendees at the MSBC took a break to eat lunch while there was a special panel discussion for student-athletes.

After lunch, Vicente Fernandez took the MSBC stage for the presentation of the fifth annual BIG Initiative Award.

Conference attendees then watched a panel called “Intersection of Sport, Entertainment & Media: Building a Business.”

After the panel, LeagueApps, an official sponsor of the MSBC, came on stage to surprise a former student intern with a full-time job working for the company.

The afternoon keynote conversation featured David Levy, President of Turner.

The MSBC student planning team thanks those who supported this year’s event. Stay connected by following the MSBC’s official accounts on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
