ANN ARBOR (April 14, 2014)—The Michigan Sport Business Conference has opened the application to nominate exceptional student leaders pursuing a career in the sport industry for the BIG Initiative award. Founded by Chris Chaney and Brandon Rhodes, the BIG Initiative recognizes 10 students for their amazing achievements within sport business. The award acknowledges students who are going to make a major impact on the sport industry when they start their professional careers.
Nominees must be in their junior or senior undergraduate year of college at the time of the 2014 MSBC. The MSBC BIG Initiative Selection Committee will be selecting winners based off of criteria such as measurable accomplishments, creativity, innovation and leadership. These individuals will exemplify the theme of the 2014 conference, “Game Changers: Innovating Today. Defining Tomorrow.”
The winners will be honored at the 2014 MSBC on Friday, October 24 at the University of Michigan. Along with recognition through a special ceremony at the conference, the selected students will be featured on the MSBC website. Applications will be accepted from April 14th through May 31, 2014.
