ANN ARBOR, MI. October 20, 2016 — The Michigan Sport Business Conference (MSBC) is proud to announce that Dan Gilbert will speak at our 5th annual conference alongside Stephen M. Ross for our Afternoon Keynote Conversation. Among many other positions, Gilbert is the Founder & Chairman of Quicken Loans and Rock Ventures and is the Majority Owner of the National Basketball Association’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
Gilbert is a natural fit for the 2016 MSBC. Known as a leader and innovator in the industry, he has a plethora of knowledge regarding sport and consumerism, bringing a unique perspective to this year’s event. As owner of the 2016 NBA champions and operator of Quicken Loans Arena, he has extensive experience with understanding how to upgrade the consumer experience and the role consumers have in impacting a team’s ticket sales, uniforms, sponsorships, and partnerships.
In April, it was announced that Gilbert would be part of a group investing $1 billion toward bringing a Major League Soccer franchise to the city of Detroit. Gilbert’s company, Rock Ventures, has also purchased several properties in Detroit’s downtown area. Gilbert’s forward-thinking, creative mindset as a businessman in the industry fits perfectly with the MSBC and our main objective: to discuss and analyze the future of sport business.
Dan Gilbert’s leadership in the sport industry and across multiple platforms makes him an ideal keynote speaker at the 5th annual MSBC. We are excited to learn from Mr. Gilbert and cannot wait for him to contribute to what will be an exceptional day on November 4th. Get your ticket to #MSBC2016 today!
