CHICAGO, Ill. — Last week, the Michigan Sport Business Conference hosted its first-ever Chicago Sports Biz Social on the evening of July 31 at River Roast, an upscale restaurant located along the Chicago River.
This event, held for sports business professionals, attracted 45 representatives from all facets of industry including Gatorade, WME | IMG, Intersport, Premier Partnerships, ESPN, Twitter, the Chicago Blackhawks and more. Attendees enjoyed an evening of connecting with industry peers as well as great food and beverages.
The MSBC’s goal is to create unique experiences that empower the next generation of sport industry leaders. After a successful summer event in New York in 2016, the MSBC student planning team decided to further its mission and reach by expanding its Sports Biz Socials to Chicago, a hub of the sport industry. As the MSBC strives to be a year-around platform, the student planning team sees its Sports Biz Socials as great opportunities to connect current and future sport business professionals.
Tickets to this year’s MSBC, which will take place at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business on Oct. 6, are available for both students and industry professionals.
